European Science Day for Youth (ESDY)
A Young Torches for Science activity.
The European Science Day for Youth (ESDY) is an event hapening simultaneously mid-March all over Europe.
During one day, youngsters develop activities around an topic which includes different dimensions such as youth, science & technology, creativity, discovery and education.
Some experiments, scientific cards, quizz, ideas, etc. are designed and provided online having everybody invited to contribute to it.
The participants are invited to take photos and videos of the event and share them through the ESDY website.The last Thursday of April, the topic activities are organized all over Europe in schools, youth clubs, etc.
Objectives

Show that science is fun

Serve as an example of youth’s interest in science and research

Stimulate youth’s decision capabilities and creativity

Promote youth and interschool cooperation

Enforce a European identity among young people
