From Russia with science! At the beginning of July, the 9th MILSET Expo-Sciences Europe (ESE 2012), MILSET Europe's main event, was hosted in Tula, Russia, thanks to a great combined effort of MILSET Europe, the All-Russia Movement of creative teachers "Researcher", the Moscow City Centre for Children and Youth Creativity, the Consulting centre "Business-Perspective" and the Tula region. For one week, this wealthy region in Russian culture and engineering inspired the European youths allowing them to present their projects and grow together around science. Counting with a large presence of leaders, teachers, tutors and other education specialists, ESE held a leader congress on "the Methods of Organising Youth's Creative Activities in Science and Technology" giving them a space to exchange their experience and, for first the first time ever in MILSET history, we had also organised a business roundtable on "Innovation-driven economy - tasks, progress, challenges and possible ways of their overcoming; creating congenial investment climate" gathering next to educational experts, regional authorities and business companies (local and international). The MILSET Europe General Assembly 2012 was held at this occasion giving the possibility to review and support the development of the movement and its activities. We are pleased to welcome a new Executive Committee, a new member Sdru?ení na podporu talentované mláde?e (Czech Republic) as well as 7 new partners: Stredisko spolecných cinností AV (Czech Republic), Malta Council for Science and Technology (Malta), Dimitrie Bolintineanu High School (Romania), CYGNUS Scientific Society (Romania), Center for Complexity Studies (Romania), Science Center Intellect (Russia), Moscow State Pedagogical University (Russia). In my personal name and on behalf of the whole MILSET Europe family, I would like to express all our recognition for the limitless efforts and devotion the ESE team put in undertaking the heavy task of organising such a great expo in such short notice. Wishing a great success to our Friends in Paraguay for the 6th MILSET Expo-Sciences Latin America; Europe is getting ready for next summer and the MILSET Expo-Sciences International 2013 in Abu Dhabi, UAE. | Get more information about the MILSET Expo-Sciences Europe 2012 (ESE 2012) and MILSET Expo-Sciences Latin America 2012 (ESI-Amlat 2012). The MILSET Science Photo Contest 2012 closed on 1st July. This edition was again a great success with 1520 pictures received from 54 countries. The results will be published on 1st september letting the time for jury to nominate the laureates. This year counted for the first time with a national selection in Hong-Kong and an affiliated even in Iran. Contact us if you are interested to organise such events. On 14th March 2012, the European youngsters will gather for the European Science Day for Youth 2013. This edition will be dedicated to "Water for thought".
