Dear MILSET friends, Since its creation, MILSET has been gathering educators and young people from all around the world in its activities, with simple goal: inspire youth through Science and Technology. 25 years after its creation, MILSET is now represented in 84 countries, and its members reach each year hundreds of thousands of young scientists around the world. MILSET, however, is not alone in the landscape of the Science Fairs. Despite having a large network of Local, National and International Science Fair organizers, we must share our philosophy and experience with others actors in science and education. This is the reason why MILSET would like, on the occasion of its 25th Anniversary, to invite the main actors in Scientific and Popular Education all around the world to a unique event, where each one will be able to share its vision of Science Fairs, Education in Science and Scientific and Technologic activities for youth. The idea of holding this event at the Puebla City Congress and Exhibition Centre in Mexico from November 21-24 is not a coincidence. “La RED”, the Mexican National Network of Science and Technology Activities for Youth, is holding its national Science Fair making it the largest event organized by one of the MILSET’s member. Following the idea of a better understanding of each other, MILSET proposes to gather the Main Organizers of Science Fairs in the world to sit on a round table and discuss together the future of Science Fairs. How to work with Universities, how to reach more kids, how to promote attraction to Scientific careers through Science Fairs, how to work together could be the themes of discussion. | MILSET Programme of Activities 2012-2013 is under preparation, submit your event online or discover the previous edition On 14th March 2012, the European youngsters will gather for the European Science Day for Youth 2013. This edition will be dedicated to "Water for tough". Follow MILSET, SPC, YCC, ESE 2012, ESDY on Facebook You are invited to show your connection to MILSET and make it visible in your communications (Website, publications, etc.) MILSET Europe Executive Committee holds official meetings in Brussels, Belgium, on 27th April and online on 29th May A round table regrouping a dozen of European organisations was host by JSB and MILSET Europe on 28th April in Brussels, Belgium A series of missions is undertaken to work at the development of the Movement, the activities and the connection with the organisations - In April: a ESI 2011 follow up mission was undertaken in Slovakia - In April: The MILSET Board attended the MILSET Expo-Sciences Asia 2012 in Bahrain and a ESI 2013 preparation meeting in Abu Dhabi. - In May: MILSET was represented at I-SWEEEP and Intel ISEF Interested to join the team and take part to this great international adventure named MILSET?
