Closing of the events of First Expo-Sciences Asia
On Wedesday the 7th of April, the events of the Expo -Sciences Asia witnessed their end.The Expo was held under the patronage of His Highness sheikh Nasser Al-Mohamed Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister, from 2-8 April 2010. The Expo was organized by the Ministry of Education
(Student activity sector and the Kuwaiti National Commission for Education, Science and Culture) in collaboration with Milset Asia Regional Office in Kuwait. The closing ceremony was attended by Mr. Duaij Hamed Al-Duaij the assistant undersecretary for student activities and the chairman of the Expo higher organizing committee on behalf of the Minister of Education and the Minister of Higher Education. During the closing ceremony the participating delegations were honored and the recommendations of the Expo about the investment of leisure activities in science and technology were declared. Thirty countries participated in the Expo.
On behalf of the sponsor of the Expo ,the Minister of Education and the Minister of Higher Education Dr. Moudi Abdul-Aziz Al-Homoud inaugurated the Expo events in International Kuwait Fair in Meshref lobby 8. Attendances were many including the president and the executive committee members of the International Movement for Leisure Activities in Science and Technology – Milset, the president of the regional office of Milset Asia Mr. Adnan Yousef Al-Meer, the regional director of Milset Asia Mr. Dawood Suleiman Al-Ahmed and many international and Kuwaiti figures.
The Events of the Expo-Sciences were varied and the programme included lectures, workshops, scientific visits in addition to an exhibition of the Asian students innovations and inventions.
