Kuwait Minister of Education to include climate related activities after YCCA

Following the Youth Climate Conference Asia which was held from 16th to 20th February 2009 in the State of Kuwait and drawing on the suggestions and recommendations emanating from this Conference the Kuwaiti Minister of Education and of Higher Education, Nouria Al-Subaih decided the following:

Her Excellency gave instructions to the Research and Curricula Department to consider climate changes, their causes and the suggested solutions and to include this topic in the Official Programmes of the different learning stages.

Her Excellency also asked the Science Inspectorate of the Ministry of Education to include activities related to the climate problems, their causes and their solutions in the timetable of the educational activities of the academic year 2009/ 2010.

There is no doubt that this great initiative from her Excellency the Minister contributes to how we can benefit from the ideas of the Asian Youth.

The Minister's message testifies not only to the efforts of the Asian youth but also to the great efforts of MILSET in making youngsters from all over the world interested in the issue of climate changes.
