Bulgaria: Evrika Fundation Awards 2012

Sofia, Bulgaria. On 18 January was held a solemn ceremony of rewarding the prizewinners of the awards EVRIKA for 2012, which EVRIKA Foundation gives for achievments in science and for a best young manager, inventor and farmer. The awards were presented for the twenty third consecutive time for young manager, twenty second for a young farmer and young inventor and seventeenth for achievements in science.

Among the guests was Mrs. Anna-Marie Vilamovska – Secretary of Health, Education and Science of the President of Republic of Bulgaria. She read a congratulatory letter from the President Mr. Rosen Plevneliev.

EVRIKA awards are given to young people for significant achievments in science, inventions of great social significance, for excellence in management of business organizations as well as excellence in development of agricultural activities. The annual awards aims to promote excellence in these field and widely  to promote among public of gifted and talented young people, their activities and successes, to impose their example among the young generation.

Candidates for the prize winners were nominated by community and bussiness organizations, research bodies and universities, NGOs and media and the final selection is done by specialists in each area.

EVRIKA Award 2012 for achievements in science was awarded to Deliana Marinova Manasieva from the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry of the Bulgarian Academy of Science. 
EVRIKA Award 2012 for the young inventor receives Lazarus Yordanov Ilchev.
With an honorary diploma for excellent performance in the competition in this category was awarded Velizar Stefanov Shivarov.
With Award EVRIKA 2012 for the young manager was awarded Tsvetelina Borisova Nikolova - CEO of the winery "Katarzyna Estate" and manager of companies, united in Belvedere Group Bulgaria Holding.

Diploma for excellent performance in the competition received Eugenia Peeva Konstantinova - Executive Director of Foundation “Teach for Bulgaria”.

Winner of the 2012 EVRIKA a young farmer is Ivan Georgiev - agricultural producer and director of Sofia "BLUPLAN" LTD. With a diploma for excellent performance in the competition was awarded Teodora Todorova Simeonova - beekeeper, farmer from Sofia.
